Sample companies
Canva was founded by Melanie Perkins while she was a student. She was working on a project and found it challenging to create appealing designs without proper tools. Adobe was too technical, expensive and other tools where hard to use. Canva was born out of the founders' desire to democratize design and make it accessible to everyone.
Also, WeTransfer was founded by Bas Beerens and Nalden (Ronald Hans). Bas Beerens faced a problem when trying to send large files to his clients. Existing solutions were often complicated or had limitations, so he built a simple and user-friendly file-sharing platform.
Similarly with Breathometer, which was a startup aired in Shark Tank. Founded by Charles Michael, the idea came to him when he was out for drinks with friends, and they wondered if there was a way to measure their blood alcohol content before driving to avoid tickets. He then, developed a smart small hardware that gets plugged to a smartphone to show you the alcohol content.
